In the back of our minds, we all have the image of the little dust bowl kid staring up at the circus poster on the telephone pole.
Now you can bring that feeling to your gym, den,
pool hall or bar.
Printed in hand set type, this is really a limited run. The paper is a little heavier duty than you might expect, as we wanted to let the actual impression of the type indent the paper. The graphic of the bent presser is approximately 80 years old, and from Alan Calvert's Strength Magazine. You may not believe in ghosts, but the actual wood type came from Lizzy Bordon's basement. All the rest of the type is also vintage from the 1840-1860 printing period. Certainly a unique piece.
If you hit the "MORE PICTURES" button under the photo of the poster at the left, you will see the making of the poster shots. These are really great. You will immediately understand why these are a limited run that CANNOT be duplicated. The hundreds of little pieces of type have to be set up by hand. When they are removed, then that is it. No more posters can be made.
